The survey uses the IBGC Corporate Governance methodology for startups and scale-ups that classiﬁed these stages in: Conception – Validation – Traction – Scale, as opposed to the governance maturity model of the IFC Corporate Governance Progression Matrix for Small and Medium Enterprises (Integrating Environmental, Social, and Governance Issues).

Better Governance has added good management and governance practices to both models, which foster the creation of value in a sustainable way.
